GARAGE
Vice Media, 201718
Art Editor

GARAGE is a digital and print journal of art, design, and fashion founded by Dasha Zhukova in 2011. I helped to establish the GARAGE website under the auspices of co-owners Vice Media, commissioning numerous art-related features, profiles, interviews, reviews, and news stories on a daily basis, taking them all the way from first thoughts through editing and production to final publication online and in print.

Guggenheim UBS MAP Global Art Initiative,Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Foundation, 2012–17

Editor

The Guggenheim UBS MAP Global Art Initiative creates access to contemporary art and education on a global scale. Through collaboration with artists, curators, and organizations from South and Southeast Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East and North Africa, MAP has expanded the Guggenheim’s collection and brought ideas to life. As the initiative's editor, I have overseen all the written material associated with it, including exhibition catalogues and didactics, the Perspectives blog, and the Guggenheim Forum.

How to Read Contemporary Art
Ludion, Abrams, Thames & Hudson, 2013
Author

In this richly illustrated book, published in the US by Abrams and elsewhere by Ludion and Thames & Hudson, I aim to present an informed and accessible guide to understanding and enjoying the full range of work on display in museums and galleries worldwide at the beginning of the 21st century. Organized alphabetically, it focuses on 175 key examples to illuminate the impact of a broad selection of practitioners including Marina Abramović, Francis Alÿs, Maurizio Cattelan, and Doris Salcedo.
